Road Safety ISO 39001

The ISO 39001:2012 standard defines requirements for a Road Traffic Safety (RTS) management system, so that an organization interacting with the road traffic system can reduce deaths and serious injuries related to road traffic accidents.

The requirements in the ISO 39001:2012 standard include the development and implementation of appropriate Road Traffic Safety (RTS) policies, development of objectives and and RTS action plans which take into account the legal and other requirements the company has adopted, as well as the environment and the conditions in which the company operates.

A key parameter of the Road Traffic Safety System is the performance of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment in accordance with specific requirements and criteria defined by the standard.
